
CASE was founded in 1985 by parents/carers of people with learning disability, is today an accredited Training Organisation providing meaningful, effective training and work experience opportunities. Trainees develop vocational and other skills at their own pace with the aim of improving quality of life and enhancing future prospects.
CASE TRAINING SERVICES
CASE is an approved training organisation providing training opportunities designed to equip people with work based skills, life skills and the confidence and competence to achieve ongoing progression. Opportunities include work placements and further education, leading to various qualifications.
CATERING DEPARTMENT
Trainees have the opportunity to work in a busy kitchen environment providing drinks, sandwiches and cooked meals to the organisation. The department can provide outside catering including buffets and hot drinks. Trainees in this department can access a course on called Entry Level Certificate in Life Skills-Hospitability & Catering.
ART & DESIGN DEPARTMENT
Trainees have the opportunity to try a variety of skills including art, woodwork, card making and textiles. The qualifications offered in this department are functional Skills in English & maths, employability skills, personal & Social Development.
The course is done in a practical way.
LIFE SKILLS DEPARTMENT
Trainees in this department have the opportunity to develop independent living skills & Life skills through practical project including recycling, card marking, cooking. The qualifications offered in this department are functional Skills in English & maths, personal & Social Development.

TEXTILES & DESIGN DEPARTMENT
Trainees in this department have the opportunity to develop creative skills through textiles including embroideries, cross-stitch, hand and machine sewing. The qualifications offered in this department are functional Skills in English & maths, employability skills, personal & Social Development. The course is done in a practical way.
WOODWORK TRAINING
Trainees in this department have the opportunity to develop their woodwork skills by producing items in wood – clocks, jigsaws, letter racks, bird boxes through different production methods using a range of machinery and tools. The qualifications offered in this department are functional Skills in English & maths, employability skills, personal & Social Development. The course is done in a practical way.
INFORMATION AND TECHNOLOGY DEPARTMENT
The qualifications offered in this department is called Functional ICT and is 3 hours a week. The aim of the course is to improve computer skills like everyday ICT skills including word processing, e-mail, internet & PowerPoint.
PERSONAL PROGRESS
The Lifelink Centre is situated across Freetown Way, offers a course called personal progress is at pre-entry Level& Entry 1. Trainees in the Department can access the main CASE site during their lunch break. The course gives trainee’s the opportunity to develop independence skills, personal & Social development, work skills, functional English & Maths though practical projects.

CASEWORKS is our new social enterprise, providing employment opportunities to trainees from CASE and people from Hull & East Riding with Learning Disabilities.
CASEWORKS has carried on with the excellent work done in the CASE Catering Department and has opened two Cafe's in the City:

Serving freshly made Sandwiches, Panini’s, Salads, Breakfast & Hot meals of the day. Come along and show your support, try a authentic fresh barista made coffee, espresso, cappuccino or latte.
We also offer external catering and our customers include Hull City Council, Primary Care Trust, HSBC Bank to name a few.
